HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As the Water Operations Supervisor, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to ensure the effective management of the City’s water and wastewater systems. Key responsibilities include:
• Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of wells, reservoirs, treatment systems, booster stations, and distribution infrastructure.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and county health and safety regulations, including oversight of sampling programs, monitoring SCADA systems, and coordination with the State Water Resources Control Board.
• Leadership & Administration: Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned division personnel, and assist with program budget administration.
• Emergency Response: Participate in standby duties for emergency response on weekends and holidays as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Experience: Six years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation, construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair of domestic water distribution and wastewater systems, including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
• Licenses & Certification: Valid Water Treatment Operator Grade T2 certificate.
• Valid Water Distribution Operator Grade D4 certificate (Grade D5 desired).
• Valid Class B California driver's license with airbrake and tank endorsements.
