ABOUT THE POSITION:
Under general supervision, the Safety and Training Compliance Officer develops, implements, and oversees the Department’s occupational health, safety, environmental compliance, and industrial training programs. The position conducts safety inspections, hazard analyses, and incident investigations; maintains regulatory documentation; and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. This role coordinates employee safety training, certifications, and contractor safety compliance while serving as liaison with regulatory agencies. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to interpret and apply safety regulations, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety across water and wastewater operations.
