Wastewater Operator I

Grace Environmental Services is seeking a motivated Wastewater Operator I to assist in the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wastewater treatment facilities. This position performs routine inspections, process control testing, equipment maintenance, and recordkeeping while ensuring compliance company safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to providing reliable utility services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • California Wastewater Operator Grade I Certificate (or Operator-in-Training certificate with the ability to obtain Grade I within the required timeframe).
  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills.

Required Shift Work
This position requires mandatory shift work, including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed to provide 24-hour facility operations and emergency response. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule.
